This workshop is aimed at voluntary sector groups (Foster Carers and charities supporting young people) with the aim to better understand the role of an 'Appropriate Adult'.
Anthony Graham is a Criminal Defence Solicitor and co-director of Amosu Robinshaw solicitors. With 20 years' experience, Anthony has a particular interest in representing young people. He adopts an informal pastoral role with a view to young people growing out of offending behaviour. Anthony recognises the important role foster carers/support workers play in the lives of children and young people with an emphasis on the rich and supportive relationship they have built with the children they care for.
During this session Anthony will provide an overview of this unique and important role and provide information on the typical legal problems and scenarios the Appropriate Adult may face. It will be followed by discussion time and an opportunity to ask questions.
All delegates receive a comprehensive handout and certificate of participation
